Below, you'll find information about our 2021-2022 officers. If you'd like to get involved, there are a handful of positions still open for the 2021-2022 school year, and nominations will go out in August!
Maryrose Weatherton
President
I'm a third year PhD student in Beth Schussler's lab. I student graduate student education; specifically, I study graduate student resource use and how resource use patterns are related to student characteristics. I love rock climbing, but I'm not very good at it. I often spend too much money on my dogs, and I have more than 300 gallons of fish tanks at my house.
Alex Neild
Treasurer
Alex is a second year graduate student in the Bailey lab studying plant evolutionary responses to climate change and patterns of Populus traits along the Western United States.
After hours, she enjoys long walks at Ijams, landscaping her backyard, and a refreshing LaCroix on a hot day.
Nicole Lussier
Vice President
Second year PhD student in the Kwit lab. Interested in ecological networks, conservation science, tropical ecology, and mammal/bird mediated seed dispersal.
When I’m not looking for bears and birds, I’m probably with my dog or exploring. Or both.
Hope Ferguson
Secretary
Hope is a second year PhD student in the Schussler lab studying graduate student education. Specifically, Hope studies chance events in graduate school and how they impact students' career outcomes.
When she's not thinking about education, Hope enjoys going on walks with her puppy, or hanging out with her husband and family.
